New Home Inspection Tools Coming SoonAt Investment Inspection, we are always striving to stay on top with the latest technology and education. While we have always held the position that we focus more on doing a thorough "hands-on" inspection instead of being distracted with fancy tools, we do understand that some technology advances are beneficial to the Home Inspection process. All of our inspectors are trained and experienced in doing the most detailed inspection possible. We are fully committed to maintaining the traditional means of Home Inspection, while using new technology to aide us in providing the best service out there. Our inspectors won't be distracted by fancy tools, but will remain updated on the latest technology. As an example, we still strongly believe in physically getting up on a roof to inspect it with our own eyes and not with a video drone. We do however feel some tools can help us to do the best job possible.
After assessing the needs and benefits of advanced tools, we have agreed to purchase and utilize two tools that we feel will benefit us and the home buyers. They are not in operation yet as our team is still training and perfecting the skills involved in competent operation of the tools. Coming soon to a Home Inspection near you: Sewer/Drain Camera Scope: This tool is going to save alot of money and headaches in the future. As the name suggests, it is basically a camera scope that can be snaked down into drains and sewer lines to see if there are any potential problems lurking in the the near future. It can be extremely beneficial in finding collapses, clogs, and tree roots pushing through pipes. We feel this will be a huge asset to our inspection service. Infrared Camera: Another tool that would be extremely beneficial in detecting the efficiency of the home. Infrared technology is used to detect temperature gradients and can be used by seeing how well the home is insulated or if there are any air leaks/drafts around the windows and doors. We feel this will be a huge benefit to our inspections. We hope to have these two tool up and running in the near future and it will be yet another service that we can provide to all of our clients.
